The Merlin HiLoft Hoodie was created from an accident of a seller misidentifying the fabric. After a long search has been identified as a variant of Polartec® High Loft. It excelled in a multi-day gear test in downpours/sleet/snow in the North Cascades, while under the impression it was Polartec® Alpha 190. This piece embodies characteristics very similar Polartec® Alpha in it's grid pattern, woven lattice, and lofted fibers. However it also has 4-way stretch, while still retaining 100% polyester fibers with no elastane.
Similar to the Merlin Hoodie, this piece is designed with increased durability and insulation in mind, and for prioritizing warmth in static moments during cold conditions. This is an ideal piece for those that are harder on their gear, and looking for a fleece that embodies characteristics closer to that of micro-grid. Featuring a half-zip and kangaroo pocket.
